EVIDENCE BASED TREATMENT & CHARITY GrowingBones is committed to evidence-based practice of paediatric osteopathy and increased accessibility to osteopathic services for children in need, including families in rural areas. Using movement and music with others, Biodanza serves as a system to move each individual to greater physical and emotional health, whilst promoting enjoyable social interaction. BIODANZA Biodanza is a system of creative dance and our classes facilitated by Melissa McDougall provide the perfect opportunity for genuine, creative and playful self-expression. Our class numbers are kept small to provide individual attention and guidance as each participant, strengthens, tones & stabilises the physical body while establishing healthy movement patterns for injury prevention. PILATES Our pilates classes are designed and instructed by our osteopath Melissa McDougall and are suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. ADULTS GrowingBones understands that growth and movement continues throughout life and provides osteopathic care for adults to ensure the growing physical body remains flexible, balanced and functional throughout the lifespan. osteopathic research and sustainable health programs for children in need. All money raised through these clinics will contribute to the development of a charitable arm of our practice, which we hope to establish over the next two years. Parents who cannot usually afford osteopathic services are welcome to bring their children to our clinic on this day by donation. Growing Bones Children’s Charity Clinic opens on the last Saturday of each Victorian School Holiday period. CHILDREN We understand physical, emotional and social environmental influences shape the way that children grow and develop and provide osteopathy for babies and children to relax and release areas of tension in the physical body- helping infants and children experience, explore, respond and grow in their environment in a balanced and healthy way.
